August 2019's Roaster of the Month: Le Brûloir Micro-Torréfacteur
Secret Sip Coffee Club presents our August roasting partner, an enterprising and passionate French batch roaster producing some of the best coffee we have tried out of the province of Quebec. Roasting out of Montreal Quebec, Le Brûloir micro-torréfacteur was born in the Ahuntsic district 8 years ago.
Le Brûloir and its gorgeous red-Burgundy Diedrich roaster warms the air in the intimate laboratory. The coffee bags from the best producers line up, as do the bowls used for cupping and the associated piles of notes. This operation takes its competition serious and is constantly benchmarking against the industry best to ensure they produce the most unique and innovative roasts. Jacinthe and Vincent roast with the greatest attention, always looking for the best flavor profiles. Emphasized by the desire to do better, the search for quality and carry a great deal of respect for production stages, starting with the farmers.
This month’s offering to our club members was a bean from Luis Orlando Torres from the La Rinconada Farm in the Francisco Morazan Region of Honduras. Now that is attention to detail! The varietal is Catimor and Lempira which exhibits a well-rounded and velvet body with clean, bright ripe stone fruit and a nutty chocolate finish.
Secret Sip Coffee Club is so pleased to have partnered with Le Brûloir micro-torréfacteur to bring you this month's secret roast, and what we believe to be, one of Canada’s best coffees. To learn more about Le Brûloir micro-torréfacteur, check out their website below:
