“A LOVE AFFAIR WITH COFFEE”
Agro Roasters is a locally owned and operated, certified organic coffee roaster in Vancouver, British Columbia. Their philosophy is rooted in a long-standing belief that great coffee begins at the farm level. The team works directly with farmers that are committed to producing the highest quality specialty coffee, while ensuring sustainable and ethical agricultural practices in their farms. All of Agro’s organic and fair-trade beans are carefully selected by their Head Roaster, who also happens to be one of Canada's few licensed Q graders - the coffee world's equivalent of a sommelier. With only 3,500 members worldwide (including about 20 in Canada), membership is earned by passing a rigorous exam process which involves tasting, cupping and evaluating the quality of coffee. Dusty admits the exam was “the hardest thing I’ve done in my life”.
This month’s offering was an incredible third wave fusion espresso blend that masterfully combined A Brazilian, Colombian, and Ethiopian bean with varying altitudes of growth between 950 – 2300 meters above sea level. The roast was medium in body with a velvety mouthfeel and a luscious finish. The tasting notes showed off an unbelievable chocolate covered blueberry taste, accompanied by a rich aroma.
Secret Sip Coffee Club is so pleased to have partnered with Agro Coffee Roasters to bring you this month's secret roast, and what we believe to be, one of Canada’s best coffees. To learn more about Agro Coffee Roasters, check out their website below:
