March 2022: Birdy Coffee Co.

Secret Sip Coffee Club is flying high thanks to an absolutely awesome roasting partner that took our members’ palates for a true tasting journey. Roasting some kick ass single origins and “slinging” some beautiful caps out of Red Deer, Alberta, Birdy Coffee Co. did not disappoint!

The team at Birdy Coffee is extremely approachable and love to serve their vast client base with amazing coffee roasted with care and attention to detail! They pride themselves on constant innovation and focus on sustainability and fair-trade partnerships.

The team has a super cool partnership with a local brewery and serves their artisan coffee at Craft Beer Commonwealth. And in fact, they are roasting their coffee beans on site. What could be better than a single origin espresso paired with a beautiful micro-brew. You will find this small batch coffee roaster and cafe in the Market Kitchen in the Gasoline Alley Farmers Market!

We selected a really approachable coffee from the Minas Gerais region of Brazil as the feature. The bean was prepared using a natural process from the Eldorado farm in the Minas Gerais region. The actual producer was Laerce Franca Faleiros and the tasting notes were beautiful Syrup and Dark Chocolate, and creamy Hazelnut.
