November 2022: Brulerie Virgin Hill

Secret Sip Coffee Club is so happy to feature a truly special secret roasting partner for the month of November, with a critical eye for sustainability, and digging deep into bean origins and farmer’s stories. Virgin Hill Coffee Roasters is a family-owned and operated company that loves good coffee and has been rocking it out of Knowlton, Quebec for almost 20 years.

“We believe in spreading that love by offering excellently-sourced coffee roasted in small batches by hand at a fair price. Outstanding coffee does not have to be showy or complicated, it just needs to be well-sourced and well-roasted. At Virgin Hill we also believe in supporting the folks who support us by giving back through various grassroots projects. Every year 2% of our sales goes back into our communities.”

The team stunned our members with a beautiful espresso blend, which was of course fair trade and organic certified, outlining the origins in incredible detail. It was a blend of Peruvian (Amazonas region) and Honduras (Ocotepeque region) beans, with a blended flavour profile of milk chocolate, caramel, honey, and hazelnut.
