June 2021: Meeting Waters Coffee Co
Secret Sip Coffee Club couldn’t be more excited to have partnered with a truly passionate, dynamic, and affectionate team. June’s secret roasting partner, and their thoughtful pursuit of perfection drew us to the far east of our great country. Sparking up the Tatamagouche area of Nova Scotia, Meeting Waters Coffee Co. sent us for a blissful trip through java town to kick off the summer. What is the origin of the name you might ask? “In the beginning, water from two rivers flowing down the mountain slopes of northern Nova Scotia met at a place called Tatamagouche (Mi’kmaq for ‘meeting of the waters’). In this green, pristine environment, Meeting Waters Coffee was born.”
The team at Meeting Waters practices with conviction: “We are a small batch coffee roaster using 100% organic, fair-trade Arabica beans. We use traditional roasting methods combined with the latest technology to create superb coffee. We support the growing, marketing, and consumption of fair-trade, organic, single origin coffee. As a family run business, we intend to treat everyone who walks through our door as a member of our family. So come in, and make yourself at home. Let’s meet at Meeting Waters.”
This month’s wild secret was the teams famous 1710 Espresso Blend which is a medium roast utilizing a blend of Mexican and Peruvian origins. The combined growing altitude is1350-2050 meters above sea level and was harvested in the regions of the Provinces of Jaen and San Ignacio of Peru and the southern coastal regions of Mexico. The roast is certified as Fairtrade and Organic. Most importantly, the notes were a beautiful caramel, chocolate and a hit of ripe raspberry.
Secret Sip Coffee Club is so pleased to have partnered with Meeting Waters to bring you this month's secret roast, and what we believe to be, one of Canada’s best coffees. To learn more about Meeting Waters, check out their website below:
